About

Hi!  My name is Donna and I live and play on Vancouver Island in British Columbia.  I am interested in yoga, meditation and all things spiritual.  I  practice Reiki and Crystal Therapy and performs random acts of kindness, smile at strangers and will have a chat about life with anyone I meet.  I also talk a lot about the importance of colonoscopies and the life stuff that makes people squirm.

I started this blog after the illness and death of the man I lived with for twelve years, his name was Howard.  When Howard passed away I was just turning 53, had left my job, closed my business and had no plans for the future.  I did not know how I was going cope without Howard in my life and had no idea what I wanted to do.   I was in a very angry stage of grief and writing gave me an outlet and a purpose.  I love to talk to people so why not write to people.

Life in a Slightly Soiled Chair was born out of my need to make sense of Howard’s death and life in general. This blog gave me a place to explore my feelings and connect with people all over the world on a different level.

Hug Everyone

Donna
